KC Compton

A journalist since 1980, I have made a career out of satisfying my curiosity. Wondering who, what, when, where, why and why not has taken me to newspapers throughout the Rocky Mountain region, and landed me for several years as an editor for Mother Earth News magazine. Now a resident of the Pacific Northwest, I am appalled by most current events yet intentionally hopeful that we will get it together and learn to live sensibly on this earth.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
