Julie Myers Wood is the chief executive officer of Guidepost Solutions, a leading investigative and compliance consulting firm. She has significant experience in compliance consulting and as a monitor on issues related to sanctions, custom investigations, risk assessments and anti-money laundering for global entities. She joined the firm in 2012, as president of its Compliance, Federal Practice and Software Solutions division. Prior to joining Guidepost Solutions in 2012 and becoming CEO in 2014, Julie served as Head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. As the second largest investigative agency, she led its biggest investigative unit in the federal government. Under her leadership, the agency developed new investigative methods and proposed legislative language to combat emerging trends relating to trade-based money laundering, check cashing and money remitters, and stored value cards. Julie is nationally recognized as a speaker for her expertise on immigration, anti-corruption and trade issues. She has testified before Congress numerous times and has appeared on CNN, C-SPAN, ABC, CNBC, MSNBC, NPR, FOX and other broadcast stations. She’s also been quoted in several media publications including Boston Herald, Chicago Tribune, The Los Angeles Times, and USA Today. Julie holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Cornell Law School and a bachelor’s degree in English and Political Science from Baylor University. From 1991 to 2001, she served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, where she prosecuted financial crimes, securities fraud, and other white-collar criminal cases.
