Joanna L. (Nasar) McWilliams is a writer and editor.  She got her start working as an editorial assistant for a health and science textbook publisher, and has since gone on to write about advances in heart surgery, how to have healthy teeth, self-charging buses, a rocket competition in the middle of the desert, the plight of endangered fishing cats of Thailand, and how microgrids are revolutionizing Rwanda for a wide range of digital and print media outlets. You’ve likely seen her work on Mindbodygreen,com,, American Cowboy Magazine, the Novato Advance, the Rocky Mountain News, etc.

She holds an M.A. in journalism and mass communications from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz in literature.
