Helene Tivemark

environmental scientist, anthropologist

I am a woman of 48, happily married, from Sweden. I spent 20 years in Quebec, during which time I also lived and worked in Africa and South America. I'm a trained environmental scientist, anthropologist and teacher of Japanese acupressure. I'm also a not-at-all trained choir member, explorer, gardener and writer. Since a few years back I’m using documentary filmmaking to pursue research in subjects that intrigue me, and to share the results with you all. My strength and inspiration is to see and to show that which unites, in midst of all that differs.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
