Hai is a first-generation born Vietnamese American who has spent the past 8 years as a marketer, copywriter, and more recently a podcast producer. He is currently a marketing strategist at UC Irvine, his alma mater, for the Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning.
He supports a variety of projects centered on student success, teaching excellence, and also manages an annual $100,000 marketing budget for the university’s summer session division which enrolls approximately 14,000 students each summer, generating millions of dollars in essential revenue that supports staff, faculty, and student-facing programs and resources.
In his after-hours he works on creative and community projects focused on equity, access, and resources. Hai strives to reach people in a way that feels relatable and interesting — taking it serious enough to show he cares while not so serious that it’s cringeworthy.
He also produces and hosts a podcast called Haifidelity that focuses on conversations around getting comfortable in your skin and exploring topics that he believes could help us all understand each other and ourselves a little more.
