Fay Sallaba

Doctor, Speaker, Conscious Parenting & Self-Care Coach

Fay is a Medical Doctor from England, she started working in the NHS in the UK in 2002, and most of her Doctoring life consisted of being a very busy General Practitioner. She dabbled in Private practice for a time, and also worked in The Middle East. She's a Mum to her biggest teacher, a feisty bundle of 4 year old wisdom.

During pregnancy and beyond Fay realised she was not comfortable with the bulk of ‘mainstream’ parenting advice out there. Many of the books, websites, and well-meaning advice just did not resonate!  It did not FEEL right. She knew she should follow her heart-gut instincts and child's lead. Thankfully, this strong belief in her parenting instincts seemed to seamlessly lead her to books, websites, and individuals who were talking about gentle/ positive/ empowered/ conscious parenting. She devoured it all and became an almost expert!!

Continuing her work as a Doctor in busy NHS Clinics when her daughter was much younger, she looked after umpteen families that were so very desperate for parenting help and support…the disconnection and pain was rife. At this point, she just knew she could work to bring about positive changes for families; herein lies her journey as a Certified Conscious Parenting Coach.

Today, she coaches parent clients, loves blogging and sharing what she's learnt, holds Free Parenting & Self-care talks for communities, and is looking forward to leading more Speaking and Workshop events. Oh, and when she can she enjoys nothing more than using her Yoga training to pass on mindfulness and yoga to parents and their kiddies.

It goes without saying that she's a work-in-progress, has a beautifully imperfect self-care practice, and is an ever-evolving, always-learning, Mum.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
