Emma Dalia Martin

Personal Finance, Retirement,& Sandwich Generation Financial Expert

Emma Dalia Martin started assisting her parents with their finances when they went into retirement in 2010.  She studied their bank accounts, saving accounts, insurance, mortgage, and healthcare insurance in order to create a clear picture of their fiscal status. This led to her developing an expertise in the following programs: Mint, Vanguard, Quicken Deluxe, AARP calculator, Smart Asset, etc.  In the process she became proficient in navigating financial management for the over 65s. As a 40-something married mother of one child, Emma is trying to find her way within the sandwich generation.  This means she investigates childcare options as well as eldercare services.  Given the time pressures of these two jobs, she has also begun blogging on self-management for those in similar positions.  In addition, she offers freelance services to senior educational institutions on finance and budgeting in the New York area, in the form of small group hands-on-workshops.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
