Activist, educator and speaker: empowering women entrepreneurs by sharing wisdom about love, business and community

Doreen is the Founder and Host of, a community for women entrepreneurs who are in business with a loved one: a spouse, life partner or "significant other."

Having been in business with her husband Heinz for almost 20 years, Doreen understands the precarious balance between love and business. She dedicates her time teaching and mentoring entrepreneurs so they too can fulfill their family business dreams.

Before starting, Doreen and Heinz founded Greenfield Services, an association management and business development firm dedicated to membership-based organizations and the meetings industry. After 19 successful years of operation, the couple sold the company to a long-time employee in November 2016.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Doreen’s last corporate role was that of Vice President of Marketing for The Sutton Place Grande Hotels Group. She also held sales management positions with Inter-Continental Hotels, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Toronto’s Park Plaza Hotel and the Château Laurier in Ottawa.

Currently Doreen serves as Advisory Board member for the Women in Leadership & Business Conference and is an active member of the Women Entrepreneurs of Cornwall & Area, the Brockville Women in Business and Kingston’s Women Mean Business.

Fluent in French and English, she graduated Cum Laude from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.

When she is not speaking, writing or giving workshops, you’ll find Doreen together with Heinz enjoying the great outdoors on their rural Eastern Ontario property, visiting their daughter at university in Toronto or cooking up a storm in the kitchen!
