Claudia Loeber-Raab

Editor in Chief of Deutsche in Melbourne, one and only online magazine for German speakers in Australia and beyond

Claudia Löber-Raab has worked in the media industry as a print and online journalist since her early twenties. She has graduated with an M.A. in Journalism and Communication Studies as well as in German and English Language and Literature from Georg-August University in Göttingen, Germany, where she was born. Since then Claudia has worked as general news reporter, skilled feature writer and editor for major German newspapers as well as a freelancer for Associated Press in London and taught Journalism at her Alma Mater before moving to Melbourne, Australia in 1998. In Melbourne, after coaching people from diverse backgrounds – from students to corporates – to comfortably and successfully speak in public, and working as a freelancer for international magazines, she founded the highly popular online News and Lifestyle Magazine Deutsche in Melbourne – Germans in Melbourne – for German speakers in Melbourne and worldwide with a constantly growing readership. Claudia’s strength as a journalist include her ability to truly connect with her readers, find topics that are highly relevant for them, write stories that highly engage them, touch their emotions, move them and convert them into loyal readers. When not writing, as a single mum she looks after her three teenage boys, black Labrador Cross Ava and two naughty cats Max and Oreo. Going to the gym keeps her sane, vegetarian meals and cuddles from her boys happy! Life is good for her! Get in touch with her via Twitter @dia_loeber

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
