I am an International Speaker, Street Researcher, and the founder of AcknowledgmentWorks. I have committed my life to humanizing relationships and supporting people to authentically connect, communicate and see the good in the person across the table. I started my career designing and facilitating programs to bring individuals from the most protracted international conflicts (Northern Ireland, Israel/Palestine, India/Pakistan, Armenia/Azerbaijan and most recently, Syria) into the room together to challenge their perceptions. Since 2008 when a 15-minute acknowledgment activity transformed what had been a toxic, seemingly irresolvable conflict with my partner into what is to this day the most authentic and productive work relationship I have ever had, I took on the mission of understanding the role recognition plays in our relationships at a work and home. I travel the world training managers in the Art of Acknowledgment and Engagement, write on how to insure people feel valued at work, and help people stay present to what is extraordinary about themselves and the people around them.

“People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.”
- MARCUS AURELIUS
