Chris is a former Army Combat Engineer & Peacekeeper turned digital media professional and author. After spending a decade in uniform in the Australian Army he has spent the past seventeen years launching commercial digital products for NewsCorp, Sensis & Clemenger BBDO.
He has studied Entrepreneurship & Innovation through the University of Adelaide and holds a Masters in Creative Writing from Queensland University of Technology. In 2010, he began a five-year research project to understand why people kill, before authoring the book Good Reasons to Kill: an Anthology of Morality, Murder & Collective Madness. In 2015, he stepped on to the TEDx stage to speak about The Uncomfortable Truth Between Right & Wrong.
Chris founded Soldier.ly and his veteran focused charity TurnandFace.org because a veteran commits suicide every hour in the United States, and Australia has lost more soldiers to suicide than fighting in Afghanistan.

“People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.”
