Chris H. Hadgis

Freelance Writer // Athlete // Journalist

Hrisafie Hariklea Hadgis, “Chris,” is Greek American and grew up outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Her passion for storytelling began at age 9 when she wrote and illustrated her first book about a dinosaur. Chris has written on-air promotions for The Learning Channel, written and acted in sketch comedy shows in Los Angeles and New York City, and has worked as a freelance copywriter for bike companies, and health and wellness brands.

An avid cyclist, Chris has written for Wahoo Fitness, and she contributes gear reviews and ride essays for Pretty.Damned.Fast. She’s also had columns published in The Los Angeles Times, MetroSports, DirtRag magazine, and Bicycling.

She believes in the power of all art—print, plays, music, film, photography—to work as mirrors; reflecting truths and creating connections and bonds through universal experiences.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
