Born in Istanbul, Turkey, Burcin is a neuroscientist based in Los Angeles. She is passionate about enabling discoveries for treatment, prevention and management of diseases using new data-driven tools and technologies.

Currently, Burcin works as a freelance science consultant and writer. Her consulting experience includes development and management of preclinical research, selection of therapeutic targets, and leading business and experimental strategy for biotech companies. Her work has appeared in Neuron, Mother Mag and Thrive Global, and is forthcoming in Massive Science.
