Bennat Berger is an NYC-based tech writer, investor, and entrepreneur. He currently serves as the founder of Novel Property Ventures, a company that specializes in finding, acquiring, and managing high-potential multifamily residential units in New York City. Berger is also the founder and driving force behind Novel Private Equity, a private equity firm that gives up-and-coming tech startups the support they need to thrive in an increasingly competitive business market. His experience in both fields has given him both a unique perspective on technology’s rise and an imperative to share his ideas through journalism. Today, Berger’s thoughts on the intersection of business, technology, and society can be found in Fortune, The Next Web, and VentureBeat, among other publications.
Bennat Berger co-founded Novel Property Ventures in 2011, after gaining invaluable experience in the field as a director of development for the NYC-based Quantum Partners and Director of Acquisitions for Kushner Companies. Berger purchased Novel’s first building in 2011: a massive, 70,000-square-foot retail and residential space known as Atlantic Gardens. The success of that property proved to be the first in a series of savvy real estate acquisitions. Today, Novel’s portfolio encompasses over 70 buildings across Manhattan and Brooklyn, as well as several properties in New Jersey and Florida.
In 2016, Berger founded his private equity firm, Novel Private Equity, with the intent to invest in promising tech-centered innovations and businesses. Novel Private Equity’s interests span industry lines; to date, the firm has invested in the entertainment field, experiential retail, and supermarket-centric innovations alike. Some notable efforts include investments in iAnthus, Madmen, Growth Network Solutions, and Swiftly.
Outside of the real estate and investment sectors, Bennat Berger is a prolific writer. His interests lie mainly in exploring how technology informs and disrupts business and society. For more of Bennat Berger’s work, visit his technology blog.
Outside of work, Bennat Berger enjoys spending time with his friends and family in New York City.

“People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.”
