Amanda Marrazzo

I am a mom, wife and writer living in the far northwest suburbs of Chicago. For more than 20 years I have written personal columns, feature and hard news stories on just about every issue from courtroom dramas to education, healthcare, family and spot news. I've authored stories for major daily newspapers and regional magazines around the Midwest. For the last 10-plus years I have written for Chicago Tribune. I have written stories on people who have found themselves at the highest and lowest points in life. I love learning, writing and connecting with people from all backgrounds. I respect and appreciate all who share their time, thoughts and stories with me.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
