Alvin Hope Johnson is the President of the non-profit Hope Housing Foundation. In addition, he manages Assertive Management Group LLC. and the Empowered Services of Texas. All three of these businesses are located in the Dallas Texas area, Alvin’s home.
The beginning of Alvin’s story is a humble one. He started responding to ads for handyman jobs. He took all the work he could to scrape together enough to make ends meet and put food on the table. During this time, he learned the skills he’d need during the rest of his career such as home repairs and painting.
Alvin Hope Johnson took advantage of every opportunity to grow his skillset. Eventually he started a personal business, and he was successful enough to create a team and his own construction agency. Together, they offered home repairs and development opportunities. He later became interested in the mortgage sector of real estate. He served as the CEO for Wholesale Lending Exchange, Inc, ADJ Mortgage, LLC, and Near Town and Associates. He ultimately took on Hope Housing Foundation.
Today, Alvin Hope Johnson is passionate about sharing his knowledge and skills to help others. He remembered those who mentored him and shared their advice. Now he seeks to mentor others. Alvin knows how important connections and genuine relationships are, and he seeks to build them wherever he goes, such as the sites of his development projects. He knows that this skill of building relationships is what’s helped get him from his humble beginnings to where he is now. Alvin is also a registered public speaker. He also enjoys sharing tips on his blog about mentorship, both geared towards mentors and mentees.
“People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.”
